尽管我们在博客的醒目位置挂出了通过FeedBurner、feedsky或者feedcat托管的feed订阅数，但我们自己也都知道，这个数据并不准确，要想准确的统计所有的feed订阅数是一件困难的事，因为读者订阅的feed源各不相同。
比如望月的博客，有订阅源feed的，有订阅通过feedsky烧制之后的feed的，也有订阅通过FeedBurner烧制之后的feed的。而且，在单独的订阅数据中也有很多水分，比如有些更换阅读器或者同时使用几个阅读器，那么统计数据就存在很大的水分，本文介绍通过site meter来统计feed准确的查看数。
第一步：注册Site Meter
Site Meter是一个功能强大的在线统计工具，不过这里我们只需要用到其中很小的一部分，用来统计我们的feed。Site Meter有免费账户和收费账户，对于统计feed来说，免费账户足够了。
Site Meter注册十分简单，这里不再赘述。
第二步：获取图片统计代码
注册成功之后，在Site Meter的Manger中找到HTML code项，在生成的JS代码中选择图片代码那一段，既这样的格式：

第三步：添加统计代码到你的feed
将上面的这段图形统计代码插入到你的feed中，WordPress博客可以通过@feed等feed管理插件来实现代码插入。插入成功之后你可以在你的feed地址中看到一个统计图形，那说明site meter已经开始工作了。
如果你是通过RSS阅读器查看本文，那么你应该可以在文末看到一个统计图标。
第四步：设置统计数据发送时间
当然你可以天天跑到Site Meter 去查看统计数据，但是这样未免太过麻烦。Site Meter支持邮件发送统计数据。
回到Site Meter，在manger中找到 stats-by-email选项，输入你的Email地址并设置发送时间，一般一周发送一次就可以了，你可以在选项中选择项在每周的星期几发送统计数据，效果如下：
我估算我的总feed订阅数应该在6000左右，从feed查看数来看，每篇文章的feed有效查看数在1000左右，以我从@scavina等朋友那里了解的数据情况来看，feed有效查看数大概是你feed订阅数的1/5到1/10之间。
